Textile expertise.
Business culture.
Shared vision.
Over thirty years of textile expertise. Fratelli Ambrosio was founded in 2000, building on a family heritage in textiles developed over previous decades. We produce Made in Italy underwear. Since 2016, we have also operated in the nightwear sector. Over time, we have developed expertise in product development, manufacturing and supply management, maintaining direct relationships with people, workshops and partners. Our identity combines family tradition with business organization. We manufacture home textiles and other textile products for distributors, retailers, contract clients and professional partners.
A textile story
built on
experience and continuity.
Our roots go back beyond today’s company.
Our entrepreneurial story began before the establishment of Fratelli Ambrosio in 2000. It started in a small workshop near the family home in San Giuseppe Vesuviano, where the four Ambrosio brothers produced pillows and quilts under the Linea Ambro brand. As the range expanded, Biancaluna was launched and the company moved to a larger facility in Poggiomarino. During the first decade of the new millennium, the family business entered the underwear and nightwear market for women, men and children with the launch of Kissimo Biancaluna and the establishment of Frambò in the renovated original workshop. Since January 2026, Fratelli Ambrosio has directly overseen the administration of the Biancaluna and Kissimo brands. Investments in facilities, machinery and processes support the company’s growth, while textile expertise and family continuity remain central to its identity.
Ownership directly involved
in decisions and
management.
Clear responsibilities and direct leadership.
We maintain a family governance model with clearly defined responsibilities. Carlo Ambrosio holds the majority interest and leads the company, working alongside Francesco and Salvatore Ambrosio. Ownership is directly involved in day to day management and maintains close relationships with internal teams, manufacturing partners and key business stakeholders. This approach supports timely decision making, direct knowledge of ongoing activities and clear accountability throughout our organisation.
Facilities, people
and functions
working together.
Two operating sites, one integrated organisation.
We operate through two main sites in San Giuseppe Vesuviano and Striano, with activities divided across different textile categories. Our organisation includes 18 employees and collaborators. Total facilities cover an estimated 7,000 to 8,000 square metres, with around 2,000 square metres dedicated to production. We also have dedicated areas for warehousing and goods handling, together with approximately ten loading and unloading positions. The different functions operate under the direct coordination of ownership.
We coordinate every stage through direct management.
A process managed from concept to product.
Our method starts with product knowledge and the coordination of all the expertise involved. We manage development, sampling, sourcing, manufacturing, inspection and packaging through internal functions and specialised partners. Before starting, we assess materials, quantities, lead times and feasibility. Throughout the process we stay in direct contact with the people involved and respond when a project requires adjustments. This organisation allows us to manage different types of orders while keeping product development closely connected to operations.
From market insight
to collection
development.
Style, product and market work together.
We coordinate collection development through two internal professionals supported by specialised external design studios. Creative directions are shaped by trends, feedback from the sales network, input from retail outlets and marketing activities. We maintain an archive of designs and patterns developed over time and complement it with dedicated proposals whenever a project requires a specific direction. For a collection proposal developed from a brief, the indicative development time is between 30 and 40 days.
Expertise across
key textile product categories.
A range built around home textiles.
Our experience in home textiles covers bedding, bathroom textiles, quilts, sheets, pillows, mattress toppers, mattress protectors, sofa covers and accessories. These categories are complemented by Made in Italy underwear and nightwear for women, men and children. Quilts, sheets and bedding accessories represent some of the leading categories in our business. We work with cotton, velvet, microfibre, padding, memory foam and materials selected according to each product’s function. Our range covers different price segments, allowing us to tailor technical features, materials and manufacturing processes to each project.
Internal expertise
and specialised manufacturing in a network.
We manage the core stages of production.
We manage cutting, quilting and part of pillow production internally. Our equipment includes two quilting lines, one pillow production line and one cutting line. Sewing is mainly entrusted to specialised workshops whose activities and progress we coordinate. The majority of production is carried out in Italy, supported by European and Asian partners. For an order of 1,000 quilts, when fabric is already available, the indicative production lead time is approximately 30 days.
A supply network
built through long-term relationships.
Selected partners across key sourcing regions.
We work with a network of approximately 40 to 50 suppliers and manufacturing partners across Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, India, Pakistan and other Asian countries. Some of our Italian partnerships have supported the Ambrosio family for nearly thirty years. When selecting a new partner, we begin with product assessment, sampling and limited quantities to evaluate reliability and quality before expanding the relationship. Our Italian manufacturing base is complemented by international sourcing guided by a precise principle: for each material, component or product category, we select the country offering the highest level of manufacturing expertise and the best solution available on the market. Every sourcing decision reflects the specific quality requirements of the product, rather than its geographical origin.
Quality control begins before production starts.
Samples and inspections guide our controls.
Before authorising production, we request counter samples and check materials, colours and agreed product characteristics. During manufacturing, our ownership and internal staff directly follow Italian workshops. For overseas production, we also rely on local representatives. Once production is completed, finished product samples are opened and compared with the approved reference. We retain a sealed sample as a shared benchmark for dimensions, finishes, stitching, fillings and packaging.
Packaging completes
the identity
of the product.
Packaging tailored to product and destination.
We manage packaging customisation through woven and printed labels, tags, bands, header cards, EAN codes, size, colour and multilingual packs. We can work according to technical specifications provided by the customer and adapt formats, graphic materials, hangers and other required elements. When part of the project, we can also develop promotional packs and dedicated displays. For exclusive packaging, the indicative minimum quantity is around 2,000 units, with a development time of approximately 30 days.
We coordinate flows from
order preparation
to shipping.
Every order follows an organised process.
We manage order preparation, picking, mixed order assembly and shipping coordination. Our structure handles an average of 40 to 50 orders per day, depending on order size. We can prepare mixed orders, shipments to central distribution platforms or separate packages for individual destinations. We coordinate national and local carriers and also manage international shipments, customs procedures, tracking, returns and replacements. Logistics are adapted to the specific configuration required by each supply programme.
Textile expertise dedicated
to contract projects.
Supplies adapted to project requirements.
We have experience in managing customised textile supplies, including projects for the hospitality sector. Starting from existing products and materials, we can adapt dimensions, colours, packaging and other project specific characteristics. This approach enables us to work with hospitality operators, design studios, architects and interior designers looking for a textile partner able to translate project specifications into an organised supply programme. Sampling and production feasibility are assessed before manufacturing begins.
We build relationships
based on trust
and continuity.
We consider collaboration a practical part of our operating model. Some suppliers and workshops have worked with our family for decades, while new relationships begin through samples, trials and gradually increasing quantities. The same approach applies to distributors, professional operators and partners interested in joint projects. We value relationships in which expertise, responsibilities and expectations are clearly defined, because continuity depends on the ability to meet commitments and understand how each partner works.
